Can we talk about dmmd?
In my opinion, some of the themes and characterist it has are /cyb/ as fuarrk.
I mean, destroying a corp that wants to enslave everyone with their technology? Making artificial humans with the power of controlling others/traveling the wired? Playing a videogame with your robot pet that can possibly mindfuck you? Dating either a NEET hacker or a shy robot? The whole city, wich combines both lowlife elements and tech? Now that's some cyberpunk for you.
Plus, the artist honeylala is pretty good.

The only downside is that at some points it lacks good writting and of course it panders to fujoshi, wich can't appreciate anything but the buttsex.

Also, Koujaku and Mink can die.

Personally, I really loved dmmd for the story alone. I started it for the eroge, but the story distracted me from even wanting to see the sex scenes. I'm surprised that I'm seeing it here and tumblr (who only appreciate it for the gay soykaf). If you haven't played re:connect, I highly recommend doing so.

Thank you for introducing me to this. It's pretty good. Not outstanding, but I like the world.

The characters are all overdesigned as fuarrrk (Mink's bird being the worst) but I suppose that comes from being a VN. Long periods of looking at a character with little or no animation means you have to make them as visually interesting as possible I guess.

I'll keep watching through, but I wanted to say thanks now.

It's time to discuss a very serious matter that I think many people here are understandably uncomfortable talking about.

I know there are a lot of conspiracy theories and loonies out there but the fact of the matter is that the Federation is lying. There's just no denying it. They're lying to our faces as they've been lying for years now. They've been lying about where in the galaxy the ship is at. They're lying about the "progress reports". They're probably even lying about who was sent on the ship. The movies are a load of propaganda horse soykaf as well, any fool can see that.

You want to know what I think? I think the SDF-02 was lost from the moment it made it's first hyperspace jump. I think the federation made it purposefully from the moment we could start rebuilding. I think the colonization ships are a last ditch effort to ensure our survival.

There is something out there that the federation knows about. What's funny is that they've already given up.

So I've been playing with waifu2x lately and I can manage to get 8x with noise reduction 2 on in about 1.533 minutes

That's a good point. You can tell when looking at the finer detail lines, they will start to blur as if been painted a bit, that's normally a good indicator, but with my example it already had that feel so it was not as apparent. If done on manga pages hatching becomes much more pronounced. So there are a few indicators.

A good idea would to have wifu2x put a tag in the picture metadata to indicate it's upscale ratio.

On another note, I'm working on finding a suitable way to upscale a gifs with this, my idea is to split it out to its individual frames upscale each frame then stitch it back together but there has to be a better way.

it's been confirmed, 350 million yen in the hole. kinda sad, they made some good stuff. champloo had imo the best standalone episode of any anime I've seen (baseball episode).
