(possible its the internal VR, remove case (carfull >1000v and big caps! don't touch anything save the variable resistors with an insulated screw driver) on edge of MB will be some tiny adjusters - clean and rotate these. - note placement of them tho, as these tend to be very sensitive and the smallest movement makes a huge change in position or brightness.
