What are some /cyb/ games? Video games, traditional games, you name it. I've been playing Snatcher, and it's really cool.

Isn't that the game that tries really hard to be progressive by making most of the characters gay? I've also heard the almost all of the villains are white men and the game tries to shove it's commentary that "White men are evil" down your throat.

Netrunner is really good. Lots of bluffing and hidden information playing as the corp and lots of difficult choices as the runner. The meta-game has held up fairly decently as well, with a wide range of strategies being viable. Unfortunately it's still quite expensive to buy all the cards (though much cheaper than something like MTG), however, you can play in a browser at jinteki.net or via OCTGN (though I haven't used it myself).

That's more or less correct. The nu-liberal and social justice nuances of the game are more in-your-face than a lot of reviews would have you to believe. From spraypainted vaginas on street posters to portraying all of the political right as evil totalitarian overlords and racists, it's pretty heavy handed in its propaganda. You'll be hard-pressed to find a stranger on the street who doesn't look 'alternative' beyond the cyberpunk sense of the word.
The game itself had tons of money pumped into it and is visually beautiful. If you can tune out the (not so) subtleties being crammed down your throat, you'll find an aesthetically enjoyable game lying underneath.
Just make sure not to pay for it.

Shadow President is this simulator where you're the president of the US & A

You essentially get to play god and shift the fate of the world in any way you want

You start in 1990 but can continue indefinatley into the 2000s and beyond

You can instigate coups, make allies and enemies and the world reacts to your actions

Plus,you're given access through a presidential computer terminal that connects you to the "ShadowNet" government network, which is /cyb/ as shiz

This one actually looks pretty nice, might check it out sometime.

What do you people think about the Arkham series games? City in particular has a pretty nice cyb feeling to it even if it's fairly simple. I think that the whole idea of taking all the criminals and putting them in a separate place makes for an interesting experience, and the gameplay is pretty awesome. It's a superhero game, sure, but it also has nice stealth elements, with the added bonus of it being a sandbox game.

I was deluded into buying this (season pass no less). Besides the terrible Linux support I encountered at launch, being left-wing myself, I found the political message and the way it was delivered unbearable. It's a disgusting manichaean caricature of progressive ideals in general.

also i have a cyb-ish (more like scifi) game:
>sublevel zero

it has smooth controls and crafting and what i really like about it is that it doesnt force some fast pace on you by closing the doors behind you

that said it's still a roguelike and you absolutely don't get to make mistakes

This! The System Shocks are spiritual children of Bladerunner.

I also think that the Wing Comander: Privateer-series deserves a honorable mention. Not that the whole vibe is cyberpunk. But several planets are. Especially New Detroit.

Has anyone played Under A Killing Moon, is it /cyb/?

And does anyone please know the name of that japanese game that was both post-apoc and /cyb/?

It's like Snatcher but not as good and made by fags. Still been enjoying it though.

Failure looks like it could be a neat multiplayer competitive/co-op RTS with some cool game modes and customisation. It's just been greenlit on Steam:

Soma was cyb. It dealt with the usual matters like the nature of being, identity, humanity, robotics, frontiers between organic and numeric, as well as a fine glitchy aesthetic.

It's another run & hide ghost train like Amnesia was but it's well made and embed some REALLY great scenes and mesmerizing underwater sequences. It's worth a ride. It is as good as the first Amnesia, if not better.

Hack Trick: tic-tac-toe with cards but the other mechanics add a surprising amount of depth given the lack of stuff you get in the box.

Don't know if anyone has posted this one yet but I found a game on github that I can't stop playing, it's called Untrusted and is a dungeon crawler text based java script game where you have to modify level source code to further your progression in the game.

https://alexnisnevich.github.io/untrusted/

Picture is screenshot of level 13.

>>

>>3290
Hey, I remember this game! My solution to level 13 was this:
var canMove = function(x,y, walked){
return (map.getObjectTypeAt(x, y) == 'empty' ||
map.getObjectTypeAt(x,y) == 'blueKey') &&
walked[x][y] == undefined;
}
var getPath = function(goal, c, max, walked){
walked[c.x][c.y] = true;
map.setSquareColor(c.x, c.y, '#FFF');

var sol = [];

if(c.x == goal.x && c.y == goal.y){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y});
return sol;
}

if(max == 0){
return sol;
}

c.x += 1;
if(canMove(c.x, c.y, walked)){
sol = sol.concat(getPath(goal, c, max-1, walked));
if(sol.length != 0){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y, 'd': "right"});
}
}
c.x -= 2;
if(sol.length == 0 && canMove(c.x, c.y, walked)){
sol = sol.concat(getPath(goal, c, max-1, walked));
if(sol.length != 0){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y, 'd': "left"});
}
}
c.x += 1;
c.y += 1;
if(sol.length == 0 && canMove(c.x, c.y, walked)){
sol = sol.concat(getPath(goal, c, max-1, walked));
if(sol.length != 0){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y, 'd': "down"});
}
}
c.y -= 2;
if(sol.length == 0 && canMove(c.x, c.y, walked)){
sol = sol.concat(getPath(goal, c, max-1, walked));
if(sol.length != 0){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y, 'd': "up"});
}
}
c.y += 1;

return sol;
}

if(me.firstrun == undefined){
var walked = [];
for(var i = 0; i < map.getWidth(); i++){
walked[i] = [];
}
me.path = getPath({'x': map.getWidth()-2, 'y': 8},
{'x': me.getX()-1, 'y': me.getY()},
200,
walked
);
console.log(map.getWidth()-2, me.path);
me.iterator = me.path.length-1;
me.firstrun = false;
}

if(me.iterator > 0){
me.iterator--;
me.move(me.path[me.iterator].d);
} else {
me.move("down");

>>

ID: 6f71a No.3292

>>3291
I came up with a cute solution to that one. I just had the robot mirror my movements.

>>

ID: d94ac No.3294

>>3292
haha, yeah, I'll admit that my solution is overkill. But I was pretty proud of the fact it worked on levels 11, 12 and 13.
Now that I look at it again, a year or two later, I find it absolutely disgusting.
