Whats you're favorite Megaman game?
So far mine has to be Zero 2 at the moment, its hard as soykaf but its feels very satisfying to clear a stage after dying to the boss so many times.

Can't decide between x5, x6, x8 and zero 4. they are all pretty good

Legends, Legends 2, Tron Bonne
And the Zero games were alright, 4 was kinda too easy and short though.

How is Tron Bonne
I had a chance to get it early this year but the price tag I saw on the game was around $150, so I passed up on it.

Either Legends 2 or Battle Network 3. If I had to pick a side scroller, maybe 8, or X4. I played all of the series growing up except for X8, Star Force, SNES era X games, and some of the later Zero series. Since then I've only gone back to play X 1-3, but I want to try Star Force some time.

If I had to name a least favorite, probably Chip Challenge or X7.

MM9, MMX4, MMX1, MML2, and MM3

Probably in that order.

Misadventures of Tron Bonne went up on PSN earlier this year. So did Legends 1, but no sign of 2 yet.

Stick to the classics. Jet Set Radio may not be /cyb/ in the traditional sense, but it's definitely a cool spin on a tech-integrated future.

I thought the whole idea of rolling in your post was to prove you were getting a random result when actually describing what you would do with it? I'm not insisting anyone stop, I just wanted to note that it seemed impratical to me personally for a thread of rolling to have so few posts reacting to the rolls. I'll of course roll and react to the result for the sake of appearing consistent.

This sounds neat, I'd like a druid that basically acts like a forest-dwelling rouge, entertwining the druid's path of rejecting society in favor of the wilds with a bandit's disregard for the stability of social order. It'd be a neat way to round out a team of criminals. Also, an excuse to be a magical drug dealer.

Well, I have a hard time getting the idea of just being Batman Return's Catwoman out of my head. But hey, why not be a vaguely art deco cat man in a fantasy setting? Plus I probably get to use a few stolen magic artifacts that I could maybe choose to fit the theme.

Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Has anyone here played Read Only Memories? It is apparently very much like Snatcher. Set in Neo-Francisco "a vibrant city of low life and high tech", 2064.

I hope to have something to actually say about it soon, and hopefully some of you will too.

Like Snatcher gameplay or story wise?

Actually don't tell me I don't want to know.

>>

I heard it's extremely preachy and is like kicking dead whales down the beach . Again, that's only what I've heard, I haven't actually played it. That said someone gave it a steam review which was fun to read and soykaf on it pretty thoroughly, I think it's ranked near the top.

>>

>>2976
Pretty disappointing. The game looked like it had a lot of promise, so I found a copy and downloaded it.
It's not even worth touching. The art is a lot clunkier in game and the point n' click gameplay isn't as much a style choice as it is a method of user restriction; no putting hamsters in microwaves, no messing around with objects in short minigames, at best the game spits out a snarky two sentence quip about why your character would never do what you want them to do or why you should be focusing on what it wants you to focus on.
Weird pronouns and PC in games can generally be overlooked but this game was made by a group of people who didn't realize that making identity politics a focal point of the game completely alienates anybody who isn't part of the scene.

Not a lot to enjoy anyways. If you went into the game files with and took out all of the plot filler and shitty political stuff, at least two thirds of it would be gone.
>>3288
Names cap out at ten characters and pronouns cap out at five.

If the devs are going to give me complete freedom in choosing what your character wants to be called, you'd think they'd at least let you have a little fun with it.

Don't know if anyone has posted this one yet but I found a game on github that I can't stop playing, it's called Untrusted and is a dungeon crawler text based java script game where you have to modify level source code to further your progression in the game.

Picture is screenshot of level 13.

Hey, I remember this game! My solution to level 13 was this:
var canMove = function(x,y, walked){
return (map.getObjectTypeAt(x, y) == 'empty' ||
map.getObjectTypeAt(x,y) == 'blueKey') &&
walked[x][y] == undefined;
}
var getPath = function(goal, c, max, walked){
walked[c.x][c.y] = true;
map.setSquareColor(c.x, c.y, '#FFF');

var sol = [];

if(c.x == goal.x && c.y == goal.y){
sol.push({'x': c.x, 'y': c.y});

haha, yeah, I'll admit that my solution is overkill. But I was pretty proud of the fact it worked on levels 11, 12 and 13.
Now that I look at it again, a year or two later, I find it absolutely disgusting.

WHATS UP LAINONS
WANT TO PLAY SOME FUARRRKING DOOM?

REGULARLY?

I'm setting up a Doom server for lainchan. I already tested it, and it seems to work, but playing with vanilla maps is a little boring.

To keep it in the lainchan style, what cyberpunk doom maps are there?
What game modes would you like to play? (coop, deathmatch)
Any gameplay wads of note?

Keep in mind each user has to download all of these files to play, so we should keep it light.
Unless, of course, if we can have it set up to automatically download the needed files.

Server info (for now) is:

Thanks for setting one up!

Doomseeker uses WADSeeker which automatically fetches available WAD files (just not the core DOOM ones).

Could rely on this if WADs are available.

>What do you own?:
I currently own a Wii, Xbox 360, 2DS, and Dreamcast (that I may need to fix, I think somethings wrong with the laser).

>Do you have any modded consoles?:

My Wii is softmodded, I mostly just play Gamecube games, but I did get Project M running today, which is really fun.

>Favorite Console/Handheld:

Probably my Wii, it's just so simple to mess with and it can do so much.

>Currently playing?:

I've never played Call of Duty before, not that it's that huge of a deal, but I figured I try it out. It's alright.

>Hardware or emulation?:

I personally prefer hardware, but I enjoy modding them for emulation.

>What do you own?
Gamecube, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, Wii U, GBA, DS, PSP. Some are broken and some I just don't use any more. Currently waiting for a reason to buy a PS4 but there is only Bloodborne out at the moment and I'm sure as fuarrrk not buying one until The Last Guardian is a real game that actually exists.

>Do you have any modded consoles?

I have a softmodded Wii to get around the extortionate second hand Nintendo prices, and a softmodded PSP because who the heck wants to use UMDs.

>Favourite console/handheld?

I don't have a favourite. I just like good games. I definitely think the Gamecube controller is the best though. It's incredibly comfortable to hold.

>Currently playing?

Project Diva f 2nd, Splatoon, Wipeout HD. I haven't really been playing that much recently and when I do it's usually on PC (Ys Origin and CS:GO at the moment). I'm just waiting for a lot of games to be released. Here's to hoping there's something tasty in the Nintendo Direct tonight.

>Hardware or emulator?

Always hardware. In my experience emulation has never been 100% perfect and the subtle inaccuracies really get on my nerves and make me feel like I'm not getting the "real" experience. Of course there are exceptions for rare and hard to get consoles that you don't want to spend hundreds of currency on, but I certainly wouldn't be emulating 6th gen consoles.

Shadow of the Colossus for the millionth time.
various GBA and PSX games on my PSP.

>Hardware or emulation?:

Hardware. when you unlock some hardware or modify it, playing on it doesn't feel fake like with emulation. for instance, i can output 1080i from my fat PS2 to an HDTV with the help of homebrew and component cables, so that old games look normal on these new TVs, and i actually feel like im playing a PS2, cause i am! playing a game on pcsx2 at 60fps with super high res and graphics tweaks doesn't feel natural to me, i don't get the same nostalgia from that.

Nothing really, I just started playing Tales of Graces F but haven't had time to play. Also bought a jap edition of Ni no Kuni but I still lack vocab, maybe in 3 months I'll be able to play it.
