i5 4570k and Radeon R9 270X, using the latest proprietary drivers. The fps count looks like it should be running fine, just feels like something is bottlenecking it

No, hardcore players even play on the lowest settings possible for some reason.

try decreasing res

also switch to the foss drivers

>for some reason.
for obvious reasons: all visual fluff is a disadvantage

for example in cs:go, low-res smoke will hardly be thicker and harder to see through than high-res smoke.

Did anyone watch Dreamhack?

That G2 - EnVyUs game was exciting. The production of the whole event was really good as well.

Want to, but I can't get it to run properly in Wine, even when I follow literal instructions. I get this weird sprite-offset problem that makes them all look like the error room shopkeeper in Isaac.

Okay, so i've installed this before (it looks a lot of fun) though it asks for a disk... Was there a cd release separately?

I was playing initial D 3 at the arcade, and the CRT kept fading in and out :/. There is a japanese arcade in texas that has the new InitialD 8 cab!

There used to be an arcade that I to go to that had an Initial D arcade machine. I never played it though since I was soykaf at racing games and only played Cyber Troopers Virtual-On.
I wish that arcade was still there, I've been wanting to play IDAS for a while now.

I've been playing the hell out of it. Like it enough that I've even gifted it to some friends.

>>2797
My first playthrough was only about 4 hours long, but I missed a lot of side stuff and also didn't have any trouble with bosses. However, you're intended to play it multiple times through.

Gameplay itself is actually really neat. Kind comparable to the Mario rpgs, in that fighting uses a timed action, and then you can influence how much damage you take in return. Differs in that enemy attacks play like a shoot em up.

Holy soykaf, I don't know why, but this game totally hit me unaware, and hit me hard. I played through the neutral Route first, and today finished the Pacifist Route, it's been very long since I felt so satisfied after playing a game.
This game hat everything I want from a "whole" experience.
My favourite game in years.

Undertale actually got me to play Earthbound. I was thinking of it for some time, but it was the catalist that finally got me to do it.

I really enjoyed Undertale; it was charming and unique. I feel like the spare system as well as pacafist in general could have been made a bit harder.

If you have sticky arrowkeys it's a pain in the ass. I have to make sure not to make too crazy movements or I'll launch into the wall of the box and probably get destroyed.

What do you guys think about Morrowind?
It's my favurite TES game and I probably have 666+ hours in the game.
Yet I have never finished the game.
I enjoy just exploring, reading books and such.
And I guess ill dump some art.

I don't play Skyrim without Frostfall, Hypothermia, and Imps more complex needs. That's what actually brings skyrim to life, those mods are mastercrafts and actually give Skyrim and cold and harsh feel.

Though I love morrowind, Oblivion had my favorite setting. Really loved the Byzantine feel to it. It feels like you're living in a thriving society that happens to be living in the well kept ruins of another society.
>>2974
Good call, you do need a pretty bad ass PC to run morrowind.

The Dumner are the Jews because they're a people governed by old religion and tradition, belong to a province at the fringe of a large imperial empire that controls them with legionnaires, their tradition and sovereignty is being wrecked by outside influence, and the Dumner are waiting for a messiah. The "waiting for a messiah" thing is the main plot of the game too.

What games do you guys play to relax or chill out? Games that take the edge off or you can get comfy and play?

My personal favorites are Eve, Cave Story, and a Vanilla WoW server. I just put on some jazz or soft music and a rain meter and daze off into the game.

Currently, mostly DCSS.

Occasionally Nethack, ToME, Angband, 0AD, MegaGlest, OpenTTD, OpenRA, Wesnoth, Flare, Powder, DEFCON, Darwinia, Uplink, Wargame: Red Dragon, Freeciv, or UFO: AI.

And Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Go, Simon Tatham's Puzzles, or Chess on the phone.

I usually multitask when playing these games, like doing homework or watching videos. Most of them work well since they are mostly turn-based or pausable or not too demanding in thought.
