Anyone here playing Albion Online? Care to share your experiences so far? I think it looks interesting but I'm not sure if I should buy one of those "founder" packs.

I bought that game on PS3, then on PC, then I bought the season pass, then I bought SotFS.

I fuarrrking hate it and I've spent like 200 bucks on it.

It's the only series I have 1000+ hours invested in.

I loved this about the game. There weren't really any boring parts, and when you just wanted to take it easy you could always explore and read the description behind EVERY item you had.

You got a Steam?

I stopped playing/caring about the Souls series after the let down that DaS 2 was, and Bloodborne just never looked that interesting to me.
I still love Demon's Souls and Dark Souls though.
As for Dark Souls 3 I just don't really know, maybe I'll pick it on when its cheap.

I usually just play Street Fighter Because I'm used to the fighting mechanics I tried venturing out to other fighting games but could not get the hang of the mechanics like I could in Street Fighter.
Tekkens also pretty fun though.

I fuarrrking hate this game, and for some reason it's the only one I've playing for the past few month beside victoria 2.

I've just been blasted to death on the last level of the Elf Hall branch, with a Minautor of Okawaru level 18.

I got 2/15 runes: decaying, gossamer.

You visited 7 branches of the dungeon, and saw 41 of its levels.
You also visited: Labyrinth, Ossuary, Bailey and Volcano.

251695 Urist Mc55 the Slayer (level 18, -2/181 (184) HPs)
Began as a Minotaur Fighter on Oct 23, 2015.
Was the Champion of Okawaru.
Slain by Wiglaf

I should have switch with an other god, I don't know which one. I'd had pretty much all the weapons, and gears I wanted from Okawaru, and I don't find his god abilities especially useful in deeper level. I barely ever use heroism and finess. It's maybe one of the reason I suck so much at this game.

>>

ID: d98f3 No.3130

yeah more MR and rNeg would have helped a lot. you just have to keep luring mobs back and sticking to corridors otherwise you will get destroyed. Okawaru isn't a bad choice at all. should have cleared the Lair first with that setup too imo.

>>

ID: 24839 No.3133

>>3130
Yeah, I didn't thought abuot changing my rings, and my weapon.

On this run I had finished all the level of the regular dungeon, the lair, the swamp, the spider nest, and the orcish mine (as you would expect). So I don't think I was to low level. I was a bit surprised by the difficulty spike on the last level of the elf hall, and also there were something preventing me from control teleport and blinking, so when I tried to flee, I ended up in the middle of a room full of nasty spell casters. A necklace of clarity would have been nice to.

I'm getting ready to run a cyberpunk noir game via virtual tabletop.

I've found that most potential players that contact me are more interested in playing Ghost in the Shell type shiny chrome action cyborgs. I however want to run a high tech living low life noir game where superhuman cyborgization is very rare (well outside the PC's hands) black op super soldier stuff, and things like illegal cranial data links and interfaces, hacking, and hustling in a world of the 0.00001% corp elite is the setting. Yeah sure there are corp retreat space station paradises, with high end systems, and maybe even laser toting mech men guards. But meat low teks trapped by gravity in the metro grid's sprawls don't get to go there unless it is one Hell of a courier run of sensitive material. And then it is hardly going past customs waiting area.

Any advice for how to get players interested in embracing being a mover and shaker on the lower end of the dystopia lainon RPers?

>The player's avatar is an ideal model citizen, but once the player takes control, their avatar turns into the perfect psychopath
Virtual Reality is such a joy.

>>

ID: 90722 No.3251

>>3249
Well they were mercs who were framed by their corp, I had expected them to want revenge, and to get their nice lives back. Instead they wanted to race cars in the underground and own a cyborg strip club.

>>

ID: 6bbf8 No.3252

>>3251
Probably because both of those are far more amusing than taking control of an avatar only to return them to their "storybook" state.

This is a problem I see in many videogames, where the developers/ writers have all of these convoluted things planned for the player to do, but as it turns out the player would much rather "jiggle" the game engine for funny glitches and bugs, because that is more fun than the chores that the designers have directed them towards.

If you want to hold water in your hands, you mustn't try to hold onto it. A lot of things in life are like that.

I think what you're saying is one of the reasons fallout new vegas was such an awesome game. I never once felt restrained by really anything, and always felt like I was doing what I wanted to do how I wanted to do it.

Except I couldn't kill Caesar and take his place.

Due to the natural development of ideas from the thread about MUDs. We are going to develop a strategy game. It will be played over IRC through a IRC chat bot but be supplemented with ASCII graphics. It will focus on the technology, economics and social issues a cyberpunk future would have and aim to be impressive but also driven by the community.

instead of turn based what about mission based? That way you could play alone or with a group, and within the mission turns could take place

So I've played Off-Peak http://cosmoddd.itch.io/off-peak and Face of Mankind (Shutdown :/) I'm looking around for a game to play that has the feel of Off-Peak and the mmo of Face of Mankind. I've discovered The Repopulation http://store.steampowered.com/app/322300/ but want something more! Any suggestions? What have you played?

Another game that I've been following and is coming to Steam is http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=530659232&searchtext=divergence

It's really old and very dead compared to an usual mmorpg. Worths checking out and trying it out but I doubt anyone will stay long in it. Also feels old, that means weird UI and... well actually if you know Deus Ex 1 then you kind of know what to expect.

Any of you playing some space sims? I'm mostly into oolite (Elite remake) and Star Conflict these days. The latter is just some action game, not really a sim. Feels good sometimes though, as it's much faster than elite.

Was trying out EVE for a month and always thinking about getting back to it but honestly I got no time for that.

Tl;DR: space

Elite Dangerous is great. It would be even better if they'd port it to linux. Apparently it's on the table. But I find it weird they have it running on Mac but not Linux yet :(

Best space sim? Just cause you can manually fly down to planets, get hopelessly lost in the void, or go days without seeing anyone if you head for fringes on single player or online,

Evochron Mercenary is the best space simulator I've seen.

https://youtu.be/PqwX_UcZKwQ and will be my only PC game when I get my 3d goggles working with it.

I'm a beginner myself, only had it for a month on steam before but had to start a new account because you can only transfer characters from steam accounts but can't use your EVE account without steam if you made it with steam.

So I'm pretty much new myself as well, see screenshot for current name.
