I think it would be really cool to meet people from this community, so I made a lainchan zeemap. Here's the link: https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=1432746

There's no need to register in order to add your marker, but you have to save the URL it gives you to be able to edit it later. I'm also making a rule that you have to include a way to contact you. Unreachable Lainons will have their markers removed.
>>

ID: 19b4c7 No.9943

I'm not sure this is such a good idea, but I still added a marker.

>>

ID: 53d291 No.9947

Nice double dubs! I will do this on Saturday, once I am back home and will be able to save the URL.

>TFW don't own laptop

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9954

Oh, and if you lose your URL, just shoot me a message and I can generate a new one for you.

>>9943
Yeah, I figured not everyone would be comfortable with the idea, but you don't have to put a marker in your exact location, and you can talk to people before deciding how/whether to meet and such.

>>

ID: d6e3d9 No.9956

I imagine its simpler to look for a hackerspace than make us meet up.

I don't want to meet with people from my country, they are always so rude.

>>

>simpler to look for a hackerspace
I for one only have like three in my half of the state, and the closest is roughly an hour away, and they make you pay membership for everything after your first meeting.

>>

ID: b3748f No.9959

I think that this is a neat idea, and I might shoot someone here a message if I ever get really bored. I know I am not getting to meet anyone new, since I am fairly certain I know all of the lainchan users in the whole country.

>>

Cool how spaced out the lainons are!

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9962

>>9956
I actually go to one, but I don't really like the people there. I've come to the realization that the kind of people that I would like to hang out with is the kind of people that I won't find outside, hence I'm trying to find them online.

>>9957
If everyone seems rude, you might be doing something wrong. Maybe a lainon could help you find out what?

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9966

>>9959
How's that possible?

He's NSA.

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9979

I'm puzzled by how people still add empty markers despite me emphasizing that a contact address must be included. The same thing happened on the other community I tried this, but this time I included a warning on the top of the page...

>>9968
And here I was thinking I would be the one to be accused of being NSA.

>>

ID: f9ba13 No.9984

>>9979
>the other community I tried this
spooky. why are you collecting information on innocent, friendly lains?

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9989

>>9984
How is that even a question? Isn't it evident that having a lainon friend would be awesome? We could do DIY projects, practice programming together, argue about tech and anime, hang out at night. Basically, I would like to bring IRL the things I love online.

I tried the whole hackerspace thing, but there wasn't anyone that I'd genuinely want to hang out with, so I'm trying to find out if there isn't anyone from the communities I participate in living in my area. Lainchan is the second one I make a map of, and I already have a third in mind.

By the way, I also made a map for Free Software enthusiasts, but I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it: https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=1324759

>>

ID: 96d283 No.9990

I like the idea of one person adding their address and getting in touch with other area lains, that way people who are uncomfortable sharing personal information can still meet up and have parties in stuff. at least if there's enough of them
>>9989
putting your address on zeemaps isn't really telling the NSA anything more than they already know - it's also very unlikely you'll get doxxed since we don't do that here. Even then, unless you're a big name in the IRC there's nothing to worry about.

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.9993

>>9990
Yeah, that's a good idea. In another map, I saw a marker that said something like "There are three people around here, if you want to talk to us mail <address>." There are also people who run meet up groups and mention that on their markers.

>putting your address on zeemaps isn't really telling the NSA anything more than they already know - it's also very unlikely you'll get doxxed since we don't do that here. Even then, unless you're a big name in the IRC there's nothing to worry about.

Not to mention you don't have to reveal your own address, just the area you're in/willing to visit. Also no need to use your real name or online handle.

>mfw having to delete a lainchan mod's marker

>>

ID: 4f55e3 No.10162

>>10155
I think they should at least have a name, so people know who to contact on IRC or whatever. Or just ask in this thread "Hey is <Name> here from <Area>?"

>>

ID: 41cc85 No.10165

>>10162
I think if you want to be contacted by IRC that's fine, but you have to explicitly mention that, what your nick is, and what networks you usually are on. Preferably having a permanently connected client.

>Or just ask in this thread "Hey is <Name> here from <Area>?"

If someone has to come here to ask about nearby people, that defeats the whole point of having the map in the first place. It would also be incredibly spammy.

ie someone posted teknik.io in /cyb/. You can create an account with only a username + pw and it gives you a small cloud server, pastebin, blog & email - all with an emphasis on privacy and transparency.

Also, 4chon.net used to auto-generate a map based on poster ips

That doesn't follow. If you already know two people that participate here, chances are there are more.

>>10466
I'd rather people use addresses that they actually check. I think suggesting a new provider would encourage throwaway accounts, which would be worse than having no contact at all. Of course, if they have/make a secondary address that they do check every now and then, that's perfectly fine.

That's an odd thing to say on an anonymous imageboard. I think what makes it okay to share your location here is that you're still anonymous, so it's not like you are really putting an address to your name the way people do it on social networks.

madzia happened in sosnowiec
while it is technically silesia at the moment (within the administrative boundaries) it's beyond the brynica river so it is not silesian land. There is also a very noticeable difference in both language and customs. It's like the Bronx.
for tripfags I can not account, as I rend to stay away from polish sites/boards
I don't believe that we'd have tempers any shorter than the national average and I don't see how anyone could have any issue with coal and "coal culture"

I don't know anything about the scene too, I just like to hear some purehellafukinoisearmaggedon, and since concert are far better than recordings I am bound to know scene.

Polish boards are full of soykaf, but once in a while something amazing happens, so I can go there for about 5mins a day.

I think dreads are a good choice only if your hair is genetically nappy beyond control. Plenty of clean professional black men wear dreads in a ponytail. There are some subculture stores like Zumiez and Hot Topic that will be cool with it especially.

Beards... just depends. You don't want to give off that reddit vibe. Pale skin especially clashes with facial hair. Most guys who look good with beards are construction worker type guys who are "fit"(quotations because there are plenty of beer guts in that business) and out in the sun all day.

I just need to cut my hair and beard and I will look like a normie again. But for now it isn't necessary since I am just studying for a placement exam. That's what I am doing to get my life back on track.

What the feck did you just fecking say ta me, you wee cunt? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my brigade in the Provies, and I’ve been involved in numerous guerilla attacks on the Brits, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in guerilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in South Armagh. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the feck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fecking words.

You think you can get away with saying that shite to me over the Internet? Think again, fecker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Shinner sympathisers across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for a fecking shoeing. The shoeing that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. Yer fecking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven ways, and that’s just with car bombs.

Not only am I extensively trained in bomb making, but I have access to the entire arsenal of IRA arms dumps with loads of shite we got from Gaddafi as well as from the Shinner sympathisers in the US. And I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable arse off the face of the planet, you wee cunt.

If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fecking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you ballbeg. I will shite fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fecking dead, wee lad.

Meet in a public place the first time during daylight hours, so that you can establish that neither of you are shifty glitterboys. Why? Well, you want there to be some level of trust between people. The first meeting wouldn't have to be long, either JK, can I live with you for the next 5-10 years?.

Then we move on from there if we decide it is worth it.
