>>18102Most of the people who are doing the "bug-out" thing are planning like they have land to live off of, but they actually don't. If you have that, great for you. But most people don't. Of course, the entire "bug out" concept revolves around actually leaving your home. So you wouldn't have those acres, anymore. But I get what you're saying. If you have land, you should know how to work it, and how to make it work for you, in the context of the village that you will inevitably need to attach yourself to, at some point.
Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that you have to tailor the plans, for what you actually have. When I had to use my bug-out bag, my plan should have been centered around getting enough money to get into a house. I revised my plans quickly, but at the time of my "bug-out", the actual, physical prep, was essentially centered around being homeless more comfortably. I knew, cognitively, that this was not the best prep in the world, but I didn't really revise it, at all.
My revised plan, essentially centered around selling my guns, gear, games, and car, in that order, and then taking my VA payments, and fuarrrking right off to Eastern Europe. It actually worked really well in the end, but I don't think I used much of what was in my "bug-out bag", and I sure as soykaf didn't use the guns.
Some people's preps are centered around becoming brigands, with an AR-15, a USP, a camo tarp-tent, a shitload of ammo, Plate/Carrier, and the necessary MOLLE pouches. I'd hate to see what happens when they end up having a 'personal apocalypse'.
