That's a hard question. If I could change out the 3 months in exchange for finishing my aas degree I would go into aeronautic inspection for some defense company.

I'm tired of the fuarrrking oilfield. I should've gone into something cleaner.

OP here, figured I'd share mine. I'd love to work in internal investigations for the government. I know, I know, working for the government is evil and all, but fuarrrk you. I don't really know what branch this would actually pertain to, but I'd essentially like investigate corruption crimes etc. committed by government offices and government officials.

That's actually pretty much the reason I'd never pursue it. The idea of solely investigating the government while being part of the government would probably end in either me being pissed that I couldn't do something, or eventually being investigated myself. Or turning into what I hate.

Me personally, I'd choose mathematics or electronics researcher. Honestly research will always be a profession as long as one group of people want to edge out another group and math just applies to everything. However I'm cheating because I'm about to get my degree in EE. So, I'd be qualified for those jobs in three months anyway.

Now a job with only 3 months of training, I'd say electrician. Honestly there is always going to need to be someone that wires up building and maintains the electric grid.

At least until free energy is invented.

Accounting, my current profession. It's been about as automated as is possible for any job. Until hard AI exists that runs on cheap hardware, every business is still going to need a bookkeeper.
