Please don't turn this board into a magnet for roleplayers and attention-whores.

>>17506Neoliberal or "Terminal" Capitalism has created an entirely new class that sits below the proletariat; the precariat is growing and a lot of would-be "cyberpunks" can be considered a part of it. Imagine living without job security; living from contract to contract to make ends meet no matter how temporary. People that don't even have the privilege of earning a wage after working more than they should.
When people talk about technomads and vagabonds here I get this feeling that not many really know what it's like to live that life. I don't think OP is roleplaying, anon. The soykaf is real.

That's harsh OP. I live with my parents but even they are having a hard time financially. I have a job and pay a few bills along with our food but I haven't had steady work in several weeks and it's been on and off like this for the better part of the year.
The internet is basically my only real outlet. I have enough for gas and tuition for night school but that's coming from a little bit of savings I managed to put together awhile back which I try not to deplete and am trying to stretch out.
It's hard for some and harder for others, the best I can tell any of you is to survive the drought. The good times will come but usually only after we suffer for a bit.

Do what you have to do in order to survive and scrape your way out of the 'pit', as long as you don't make a lifestyle out of it
