I live in Chicago so most of the non-residential neighborhoods are awake and going all night long. The El - out electric train public transportation is always interesting to ride after 10pm. There's an absurd amount of violence in specific neighborhoods and a pretty large crazy homeless population so most of the time I just stay indoors once the night comes. Chicago is basically an IRL minecraft server.

There's deer everywhere in my area, and they're active at night

Comfy as hell to watch a pack graze on someone's lawn, they're so quiet and adjusted to humans

used to ride my bike at night here in LA, sometimes alone, sometimes with the critical mass pack.

Craziest thing that happened was one of the riders in a CM ride wiped out big in a turn, and ended up dying. Didn't see it first-hand though, heard about it later.

When I used to do it alone, I would ride the quieter streets in a wealthy neighborhood. Nothing bad ever happened, but didn't stop too long in one place. Might take it up again since I have been doing no exercise whatsoever.

City kinda shuts down past 1am. Too many crazy homeless people out for much fun.
I always enjoy walking around the suburb parts of Cap Hill or along Melrose Ave because it had a great view of the city.

When I lived in NY, there was always something fun to be seen. I used to walk from Batter Park to Union Square and back. NYC at night is always a fun adventure.

thats a good feeling to get OP. You should do it. Back in the day one of the rules or tips of lainchan was to go outside and do stuff that you could then go on lainchan and have stuff to talk about. i wonder if that late night walk thread is still alive

I used to do a lot of late night city walks. Me and 1 or 2 buddies would walk round central London for hours, with a bag of pre rolled Jays. It was the soykaf . It's cool if you can even muster to be a bit extroverted, as you can meet all kinds of people that you wouldn't have otherwise. We'd just make sure to stop when we thought something weird might be going down, we'd see a lot of fights and arrests, and one time we saw a homeless man drinking urine out of a big jar. I've gone out alone as well, and it's definitely still a lot of fun, especially with a good soundtrack. I'd recommend the blade runner ost and 2814.
