I am officially announcing laintv.com.
We are users of lainchan who have teamed up to do live streams for everyone here. The content we will stream will be anime, movies, games, and western TV series.

We do have a schedule of when people will be doing dedicated streams:

Monday: (currently no one)

Tuesday: tsundoll 7pm-10pm EST (11pm-2am UTC)

Wednesday: (currently no one)

Thursday: apotheosis 10am-2pm EST (2pm-6pm UTC) || R0gU3 8pm-11pm (12am-3am UTC)

Friday: 9pm-12am (1am-2am UTC)

Saturday: Skele 6pm-10pm (10pm-2am UTC)

Sunday: (currently no one)

There will also be random streams throughout the day mainly by: iLikeBiscuits.

I know there are some questions and concerns that you all might have so I will do my best to answer a few of them:

>Why are you using flash, its soykaf just use HTML5!
We currently use HLS for our streaming protocol. Which while there are HTML5 web players that support HLS they are a bitch to work with, and you would need to enable javascript for it to work. Even still comes down to each individual's browser settings (no seriously, this is a major problem). Fear not though you can manually connect to the stream with any of your favorite media players that supports RTMP (rtmp://laintv.com/live/stream).

I have been in contact with kalyx throughout the development of this project to make sure we wouldn't go over any boundaries. However I promise we will not spam the entire imageboard, and keep it in one thread.

Well for several reasons, but namely to keep the load of doing so many streams off of lainchan and its servers.

If you have any more questions please post them and I will do my best to answer them.

We are also still looking for people who want to do streams, but we really need people who can stream on the days that do not have anything!

I have selected a couple of good movies for us to watch on Halloween.

Apotheosis here, I'm planning on streaming the 3 Alien movies tomorrow (director's/assembly cut of each), but it's a 7 hour period.

I only have 4 hours on the schedule, but R0gU3 isn't streaming for a while after I'm done, so I suppose it's fine for me to go over my zone (the stream would be from 10am - 5pm (EST))

Problem is, I have a class from 2pm - 3pm, which would line up perfectly with the last 30 minutes of Aliens and the first 30 of Alien 3. Not very ideal from my point of view (and especially if something goes wrong with starting the next movie)

To solve this I can delay my start by an hour, but that would end me at 6pm

Thoughts?

If you guys are interested in games I have over 300 shareware games from the 90s I've accumulated with almost no record online. I was originally going to do a web series documenting these but if it would help at all I could supply them to this cause. Increpare is also a good thing to go through because of how odd it is while maintaining the techno-surrealism that's always been a key part of cyberpunk as a whole.

It's on and off at different times.
Right now it's started but when you posted it wasn't

When it is on, the website requires flash.

But because it's not 2006, you can:
run the rtmp in the OP through vlc, mpv, etc

if that doesn't work, install livestreamer and run that with the rtmp and the quality (either best or worst) through as arguments
