The KKK is a shadow of its former self and is basically an activist group at this point. You make a good argument about lone wolf attackers but by their nature a lone wolf tactic is limited.

Crucially, the KKK have not institutionalized strategies of systems disruption the way ISIS, MEND, AQAP, and similar groups have. They're still focused on body count.

Back when ISIS was AQI, they would actually minimize body count while attacking pipelines, because they knew body count could be used against them for propaganda. MEND still does this in its pipeline attacks.

Also, eventually ISIS will figure out authenticated communication, and the sting operations will become actual recruiting.

Well, Europe has certainly had a long peace, but the point I was trying to make is that the middle East has been in conflict for most of recent history. The last war fought in CONUS was the civil war, and the last war fought on Western European soil was WWII. In contrast, there has been armed conflict in the middle East for the last 70 years. That's generations growing up with warfighting skills, and an exposure to conflict. Unlike whatever wartime experience Americans have had, these wars are total and involve the entirety of the population in some way, while in the US there hasn't even been a draft since Vietnam.

I've pretty much given up seeking any form of meaningful friendship/relationship with people. It never really worked so I think I'm just not capable of achieving it. It's very rare for me to find people that I actually like to spend time with, not just tolerating them. I've had people claim to care about me before, but they always let me down in the end and make me think that nothing was ever genuine.

It can be very painful and restricting, because so many activities require groups of friends or couples. Hanging out with animals makes me feel better though.

I'm emotionally attached to some works that work as paliatives when I'm alone but that's no good against the loneliness itself.

I mean this isnt really isolation but just kind of anti social behavior. I really enjoy "stalking" certain people. Not to scare them or hurt them or anything like that, but I also dont love them a lot of the time. In fact often times they are my own gender and I know im not gay. They just are people I find really interesting, sometimes they are even people I talk to on a daily basis but not friends with.

whenever I look up this behavior online its always people stalking their ex or some shit, or stalking with intent to do something (usually bad). Girls usually are the ones doing it too. One of the guys isnt even someone id want to be friends with with by far but he reminds me of myself when i was in a bit of a darker place mentally. So i feel like i have to know everything about how hes coming along, and i even try to guide him when i do speak with him by saying stuff that i know particularly resonates with him because I know what he does and likes.

I think the biggest problem is that everyone has let emotions seep into their judgement. If we break down why ISIS is so successful we arrive with three factors
>1. The ability to seduce youths and marginalised people into supporting their cause with Internet propaganda.
>2. Weak local governments and military.
>3. Decades of regional anger and aggression.

The first problem is the one which affects us in the west the most. Because of their use of grooming techniques they are able to convince captured local youth and overseas youth that America and friends are evil and ISIS is supreme. The solution to this is simple: disable ISIS accounts and websites whilst waging an aggressive counter propaganda war which makes ISIS look ridiculous. This has only recently started to happen with the legunairs downing ISIS twitter accounts. However, the world governments are just sitting on their hands and using language which serves only to validate ISIS by making them out as a huge threat. For example the Australian PM calling them a "DEATH CULT" and saying that "It's the work of the devil!". This is the most simple and least expensive change that could be made. This would greatly reduce the threat of terror on home soil and decrease the ISIS' ability to maintain integrity after major losses.

The second problem is almost entirely our fault and the hardest to fix. Due to the CIA and MI6s involvement in Iran during the 60s and the coalition wars with Iraq it is downright impossible to expect the local governments and militaries to be of any use at all. Iraq is weak and corrupt as well as reliant on US intervention to stay afloat. This can only be entirely fixed once ISIS is defeated. However, Iraq would greatly benefit from a restructuring. Their moto is literally "Allahu Akbar" and it is basically just as backwards as it ever was even under Saddam. Iraq really just needs to be transformed into a liberal democracy with proper education and the like so as to prevent the poor and stupid from going off with ISIS and to give the region industries and a functioning economy.

There are nearly 2 billion Muslims on this planet and many more who would sympathise with them, a war on that scale would essentially be WWIII, it would be economically destructive and billions of innocent people on both sides will be killed. You can't predict that the world would be any better off after that, as the political situation in almost every country in the world would change. That's even discounting the moral side of things.

I think that killing a bunch of people on the basis of superiority is ridiculous especially when you have no proof that that you are in fact superior. I am really puzzled as to how a Cyberpunk board (note the punk in Cyberpunk) is populated by such authoritarian people. Your justifications for you beliefs are frankly Nazi-esque and lacking in rigorous thought (note the lack of evidence of superiority and resorting to simplistic generalisations and stereotypes).

Please everyone, remain rational and don't buy into the scaremongering. I don't particularity want WWIII nor do most people but, that may happen if we forget to consider the consequences.
