ultimately whoever wants to write a commit to the github can do so

that would be pretty nice actually. but seeing that we still have the double report bug and the reporting 504 error i doubt we'll have this done anytime soon.

If you know how go ahead and make\share a greasemonkey script. or start a thread on >>>/lam/ about it. maybe you could add it to lainchanX

this is actually really simple, with css alone:

.top,
.bottom {
 position: relative !important;
}
#thread {
 padding-top: 0;   
}
body {
    padding-bottom: 0;   
}

apply it with stylish or whatever aftermarket css extension you like.
