We have exploded with traffic recently. It's time to run piwik for a while to visualize whats actually going on. I'm setting it up now. I suppose i'll enable the js plugin too, and I'll have a link to a cookie that lets you opt out. We will be using a combination of nginx logging and js. If you are running NoJS(or any other paranoid thing of choice) please whitelist lainchan. pls. pretty please. Piwik is nothing like Google Analytics. We aren't selling anything, we just want to see whats going on. That being Me, darkengine, and a few other admins. Read up on it here before making any baseless assumptions. We will definitely be setting up some timed destruction of any logs. maybe like 6 months. The whole program runs on our servers only. Nothing goes outside of lainchan. All we know, or care about is what happens in here. We do some stuff like anonymize the last few bytes of the IP's and you can use the "do not track" thing in your web browser.

UPDATE- btw our traffic has been bumpin' long before whatever is happening on 4chan right now. Completely unrelated.

Piwik is self-hosted and never leaves our server? I'm OK with that. Time to add Lainchan to my whitelist, then.

I think people have been promoting this chan recently because of the recent annoucement on Hiroyuki Nishimura. Not sure though and i don't see how we can be an alternative to them, maybe we are to a couple boards but not to an overall public.

The influx will likely be temporary for a few weeks - nothing unusual unless new users can be retained.

Please get rid of the /po‌l/ posters.

There's more of people complaining about imaginary /pol/ posters than there are actual people posting /pol/ like things.

Where have we had /pol/ posters?
And no, nobody who argues against your anarchist or social justice policies reasonably should be derezzed. Some people in the social justice thread don't agree with Judith Butler and most people in the An/Ancap threads believe that Bukowski was a hack. Deal with it. The staff does an excellent job at containing outbursts of ridiculous bullsoykaf from both sides of the spectrum.

well, we have good moderators too...

>>

 No.6525

It's blocked by ublock too btw.

and i haven't seen any general /pol/ shenanigans on here. there's a difference between rightists or even fascists and /pol/ imo. pls keep it so there's no general racism or cross thread shitting about politics/degeneracy/whatever though.

Is there any way you could publish some of the results so that we could see what is up as well? Not the IPs of course, but maybe the number of active users etc?

Also, does this mean that lainchan radio will finally get the "Statistics about this stream such as current listeners, song title, et cetera" that has been on that page since day one?

>>

 No.6547

>>6522
I would say there's a few /pol/ users with /pol/ viewpoints who don't think they have to argue them reasonably and the staff aren't removing every single post of. Not many, but they're still present.

Would it be possible for me to scp those over to my machine? I love lainchan radio, but I am not connected to the internet through the day, so it would be really cool to put them on my DAP.

I'm cool with that.

Speaking of analytics, do you trust the dude who runs 1339.cf? Because they can see all our ips via the picture you embedded on top..

the owner of 1339 is a janitor here and a friend of kalyx.
