Hey /lit/
I'm going to be travelling in the next few days. I'm going to be loading a book or two on my Navi. What should read? I have 5 days and alot of plane time. I'm considering trying to blast through SCIP.

does it have to be technical? If you want a novel then i highly reccomend Ready Player One if your interested in VR and Little Brother if your interested in modern day Cyb. you can also learn OPSEC from Little Brother.

Doesn't have to be technical. Although it would be a good chance for me to get through a technical book. I read Little Brother and it was an amazing book. I might read the sequel, Homeland actually. Also, I need to learn C, any recommendations for that?

Please don't just blast through SICP. Take your time to carefully study it and do the exercises too.

im >>1665 and i just finished the first section today. had to put it down so i could focus on the exercises when I got home. I have been studying programming for a year or so now and I would say im fairly proficient in ruby/php/python for easy web scripting stuff but sicp is a whole nother level. Im having to go back and read things from the first 20 pages to get a grasp of interpreters, though the rest of it was a breeze from learning control flow with other languages. I would also recommend something a bit lest information dense like head start programming or python or even why's guide(its the most fun you will have with a programming manual!)

If you like fantasy, I'm reading the Witcher books, and I'm not finding them too bad.

Crikey. Whatever you want to read. Surely there's something on your mind regarding that?
