Are you still taking for issue 2?
Or is it time to send stuff in for issue 3?

Have some (1 for now) OC info GRFX that are a bit special (might need doule page spread going sideways?). They are stand alone pieces/images but need to be quite big/high res.

If still taking for issue 2 I will get my soykaf together an submitted ASAP (end of weekend max) if too late and for issue 3 I will submit once Issue 2 is released.

Let me know if I can still send in for issue 2...
I was thinking I could do 1 per issue - for a few issues - these things take 2 weeks each, i only have done 5 so far- wanted to make a book of posters with 20 in, but my time is not infinite and I only got to 5 so far!... Lainzine is special enough for me to let a few go at a just about enough to read res, as I still want to make my book one day, where the full resolution will be used.

>What do you guys think of this?
>Should I go on/say more?
i broadly agree and i'm writing a reaction inspired by your post right now. i feel like some of the reasoning behind some of the conclusions in your post is a little thin. your idea is good though imho, i could imagine creating lainzine content out of very good posts or entire discussion threads.

>Is my writing soykafty and I should kill myself?

if anyone tells you this report him :-)

Were I to write a short story, what should I focus on? What should I leave out?
I'd like to go more into how the cars are the problem, but they're more of the vehicle (no pun intended) for the problem to occur.

Making an apocalyptic scenario with this being the cause could be interesting, but I think it diverges from the point

In all, I'd like to make it fiction, but close enough to fact for you to be genuinely worried about it, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4GB_NDU43Q

Hi lainon, if you haven't seen this thread: https://lainchan.org/diy/res/398.html

Long story short there are a couple of /art/ and /lit/ lainons who might be interested in working with you on this. We're doing some tangentially related stuff at the moment, you can read about it on http://pastebin.com/nLDkQe77.

A few of us are working on some short stories too, I think. Join us, if you'd like!

ok, i'm outta here.

writing text for a pdf on the same website as this community is fine, but writing text and it's put on a commercial 3rd-party website is nothing i want to do. And don't want my text in any public database.

One of the guys working on the Alphabet project here. I'm writing some short stories about Alphabet gaining a PMC and fighting in The Democratic Republic of The Congo against rebels and child soldiers to protect mining operations vital to the world of technology. It's basically a cyberpunk take on African conflicts and Johnny Mad Dog. I was looking to getting them published in the magazine. Here's some stuff I've come up with so far.

>>

 No.1743

>>1742
November 10th, 2016 - TPP is officially enforced worldwide.

April 26th, 2017 - Alphabet buys GK Seirra and renames it to Alphabet Security Firm (ASF) to staff their Google X facility because of the recent construction that

made the base 5 times bigger in 2016.

March 16th, 2018 - Alphabet buys ICS Copper Systems Ltd, and Katanga Mining Ltd mining companies stationed in The Democratic Republic of The Congo.

July 9th, 2019 - Alphabet buys the PMCs Constellis Group, and Aegis Defense Services and renames them Alphabet Defense Group (ADG) to serve alongside the US and UK in

their war against ISIS in Syria.

December 15th, 2021 - Joseph Kabilla abuses a law passed in 2015 to run for president of The Dem Rep of The Congo for his 4th time.

Febuary 5th, 2022 - Massive protests turn to an uprising in The Dem Rep of The Congo. The Third Congo War begins.

March 7th, 2022 - The US and UK agree to send troops to fight the rebellion in The Congo in the interest of The Dem Rep of The Congo's mines that hold minerals vital

to the first world's technology.

March 12th, 2022 - Alphabet publicly states that the US/UK have no buisiness taking part in a war that can potentially ruin Alphabet's resources.

March 22nd, 2022 - The French Foriegn Legion has training exorcises to help the US/UK in The Congo.

April 15th, 2022 - The US/UK/FFL agree to have ADG (Alphabet Defense Group) oversee the Third Congo War to protect Alphabet's mining operations in The Congo.

November 18th, 2023 - After massive protests against the US/UK wasting money and resources on the Third Congo War, the US/UK agree to leave The Dem Rep of The Congo.

The French Foreign Legion and Alphabet Defense Group are now the only foreign participants in the Third Congo War.

August 15th, 2024 - A unit of Alphabet soldiers push away M23 Rebels coming in from the forests outside of the city Goma.

"Hey!" Alpha 9 shouts. "What?!" Hotel 3 shouts back. "My sides are getting fuarrrking destroyed up here, want to switch me?!" "Come on you baby!" "I'm serious this soykaf hurts and besides I've been up here for an hour now, it's time for me to switch out!" Hotel 3 looks into space as he contemplates a way out of sitting atop the loud tank as it violently thrashes around making him push his ribs and back into the hard metal opening but comes up with nothing. He taps on Foxtrot 7's shoulder and tells him to stop the tank for a moment. They do and Alpha switches places with Hotel. The tank continues it's patrol around the garbage and ash covered streets of Goma.

>Here's a part of another story I'm messing around with.

30 boys ranging from ages 7 to 17 mingle in what was previously a gas station. The owner of the gas station sits behind the counter, his head falling apart from the

attack that made him lose both his buisness and his life. A general wearing a red beret and several adult soldiers come out from the storage room behind the counter

and push aside the body in their way. "Ok ok listen up!" The boys stand in a straight line facing the general, their paint and sticker covered AK-47s hang casually at

their side.

The General begins his report. "We know of a place where we can get tha same powers those AZ fuarrrkas use. We will storm this building and find potions and machines that

will make us not havta be hungry or sleep for days at a time. We also know of powers that will let us see through tha walls and even fly in the sky like a bird."

INQUIRIES

1. Are there limits/minimums for submissions?
2. Is there a deadline right now?
3. Should I ignore the deadline and just submit whenever?
4. Does it have to be related to cyberpunk/technology/internet? The thing I'm working on is, but I'm curious
5. Where to find previous issues?

>>

 No.1827

>>1825
There's no real deadline at the moment. Lainzine vol 2 has all the material written. Submit whenever you feel like it. Hopefully it makes it to the zine sometime soon. It should be interesting to the average lainchan user. Latest and only copy can be found at lainchan.org/zine .
