My one experience (10x extract) felt like my consciousness shot out of my throat as soon as it hit me and was trans-morphed into some sort of paraplegic schizo. Mind-altering substances by and large are. There's not a lot of research on salvia to chart out risk potential, but it reads on the safer side of the spectrum. Wikipedia brings up some mental health benefits but methinks that might just be the editor being slanted.

The afterglow is wonderful.
