Concerta (basically long-term release Ritalin) works very well for me; aside from fixing my dopamine problems it seems to keep me awake and in action.
For the more experimental stuff, starting with piracetam + choline source is good. Don't overdo it (look up isochroma + longecity + piracetam), but unless you eat it like candy you'll be fine. 1-2g twice a day seemed to improve my mood and focus; >5g made me feel on edge, and if I had too many stims, overstimulated.
I also encourage n-backing, which is something I've been meaning to start myself.
I've been trying sunifiram, which is a powerful ampakine (about 1000 times more potent than piracetam). So far, it seems to act like a stimulant (euphoria, mania, and focus), the effects of which last several hours. I then get a small crash. I also tried dosing twice in the same day; that made me crash even harder.
I can't tell whether it is addictive or not; I get withdrawals if I take it daily then stop, but I don't have a psychological addiction to it. I also can't tell whether the long-term potentiation is doing anything good for my memory, which is why I've been meaning to start N-backing.
I can't recommend it as a nootropic, since side effects it has given me are withdrawal, significant muscle twitching, mood switching, and lethargy (with the withdrawal). I've heard unifiram and Noopept are cleaner noots.
