Guys i was thinking bout eating me some tubby custard today and i realized Teletubbies live in a cyb dystopia.

They have a sentient android vacuum with complex mess recognition. They have a communal post scarcity society in which cybernetic body modifications are ubiquitous. They are under full time surveillance and automated speakers tell them what to do and when to do it.

From wikipedia:

"The main shelter of the four is a grassy dome...implanted in the ground accessed through sliding down a hole at the top"
>Underground shelter

"The show is noted for its colourful, psychedelic setting designed specifically by the creators to appeal to the attention spans of infants or unlock different sections of the mind"

"Throughout the course of every episode, an assortment of rituals are performed"

"Footage of live children displayed on the screens in the Teletubbies' stomachs"

"Cult following
Although the programme is aimed at children between the ages of one and four, it had a substantial cult following with older generations, mainly university and college students.[19] The mixture of bright colours, unusual designs, repetitive non-verbal dialogue, ritualistic format, and the occasional forays into physical comedy appealed to many who perceived the programme as having psychedelic qualities."

This is a weird show

Around 2004 yellow press where I live published a couple of articles about this show being a psychological weapon that allegedly induced mass psychosis in children. This is probably just bullshit, but there was an attention at the time, so yeah, it is weird.

There was a similar article in my country as well, it was in the early 00's and apparently some kids committed suicide because of the show.

When I was younger, I remember being terrified of the show. I don't really remember why I was, seeing it now, but
>"Footage of live children displayed on the screens in the Teletubbies' stomachs"
Has something to do with it I'm sure. There's something scary hidden behind the vibrant colors.

>This is a weird show

Allow me to introduce you to a show that make the teletubbies look like it belongs next to Seinfeld, Everybody loves Raymond, and King of Queens.

>When I was younger, I remember being terrified of the show.

I don't remember being too scared of the show in general, but me and every other person I've asked about it was scared shitless of this particular scene.

If you observe both, you can see that the third man on the highest stack of books is the second man with the outstretched left arm of the first man.

The pattern of books repeats.

The pattern of the wall repeats.

The original image is the one with only two. There is no hope beyond what one wants to delude themselves with in order to stay sane.

Teletubbies is funnier because it takes itself seriously.

Cyberchase was even more /cyb/.

>The team basically had smartphones

>The whole world of Cyberspace is basically the Internet
>Miss Fileshare and her library is Bittorrent
>Most of the characters are robots
>Motherboard is Big Brother

well that shouldn't be surprising as it has "cyber" in the name

>Major funding for Cyberchase is provided by Northrop Grummon corporation
